The rows of tiny tucks that run down front and sleeves the laces made from the blouse fabric the reinforced buttonholes on the collar and cuff make this blouse subtly spectacular. It also makes it more period. For a slightly more”Naughty Noble”look it is possible to use the blouse without the lacing because the buttonholes don’t stand out like silver or brass grommets. These are great to use instead of a chemsie under a bodice overdress with a skirt or petticoat. Our Noble’s Blouses are made from a breezy open-weave cotton that looks very much like linen. These garments are all pre-shrunk and are colorfast. The cotton is much less wrinkle-prone than actual linen and is very soft against the skin.
