Chemisette (Short Chemise) — Whether you are going as a Romanian peasant or Pirate wench this comfortable blouse is what you need. We created this top for those that don’t want the hassle or the extra warmth of our full-length chemise. This versatile blouse has an elastic neckline and three-quarter length sleeve trimmed with elastic and ruffles. The elastic neckline allows you to be as demure or revealing as you like. The small tie in the front creates the illusion of a drawstring without ever becoming uneven or uncomfortable. The faux drawstring maintains a period look without sacrificing the comfort or ease of the elastic neckline. Our Chemisettes are made from a breezy open-weave cotton that looks very much like linen. These garments are all pre-shrunk and are colorfast. The cotton is much less wrinkle-prone than actual linen and is very soft against the skin.
