This costume needs to be worn under another dress. It worked well for us as we had another dress that went over the top but was open in the front. The material is not soft and it is a bit see through. It is a very bright, crisp and clean white color. It is very large but has and adjustable string to help pull the neck to the size you need it to be.

We used this for a high school play and it was a good choice. It is also a nice piece for us to have in our costume closet since it is very versitile and could be used for other dresses or even as a nightgown.

This is the perfect versatile nightgown/undergarment.

The elastic in the arms is a bit tight (I have hulk arms, admittedly). If you’re on the fence or have less-than-skinny arms, go for the plus size—the body is so loose-fitting anyway.

I’m a size 16-18, 5’5″ at 220 pounds. Measurements are 43, 38, 48. I ALMOST got the plus size but so glad I read the reviews! They only size options I could find on Amazon was this one for OS (One Size) which they say best fits 14-16 and the Plus Size which they say best fits size 16-22. Since the reviews for OS say they run big I went for it and so glad I did! It’s quite roomy for me. The elastic in the arms is a tad pinchy snug but my arms are what make me need to go up to a size 18 on tops with arms that aren’t stretchy.

Though the size options I found for this chemise are OS or Plus, the package says 14-16 or 16-22 (see picture). I must say the OS throws me off as a consumer leading me to initially assume it will be too small since “one size” items usually don’t fit people my size. It would be better if they just said 14-18 on the Amazon ad. Yes, I said 18 because this would still fit me if I were a size bigger. The elastic would just be more pinchy is all. And if I lost weight I think it would start to feel annoyingly huge. I would want a smaller size.

The material is rather soft to the touch! I expected a hard sheet type feel but not at all. Feels nice! So thankful for that.

You can’t see my feet in the picture but the gown goes to my ankles. And I pulled the arm straight (not bunched) to show the length of the sleeve in the one picture. Last, I put a belt on and bloused out the top to show the roominess. And to think I almost bought the Plus. Phew!
