A few things you might want to know:
-I had to alter a few things. I’m only 5’3″, so I had to hem the bottom of the dress up about 4 inches to keep it from dragging on the ground. I also had to shorten the sleeves and alter the neckline.
-The neckline is made for women with larger chests. Someone with B Cups or smaller will likely need to alter it; I had to take it in an inch on each side. Otherwise, there is a lot of extra space, and the neckline is wide open.
-There is a really irritating mesh inside of the sleeves. It helps to keep the “poofy” shape of the sleeves. This actually irritated my skin so badly, my shoulders turned red and hurt. It was easily fixed by sewing a shoulder pad to sit underneath it.
-Do not expect to wear the crown. It’s far too large to stay on anyone’s head.
-The trim around neckline tears easily. Be careful not to stretch it much when you pull the dress on and off.
I am usually a size 8, so I bought a medium. I’m pretty sure the small would have been a bit too small in the waist. Once I finished the alterations, it was a comfortable costume! It is made of 100% polyester though, so expect to sweat if the weather is warm.
Because I think the sizing is a bit off, and the annoying mesh stuff in the sleeves, I took one star off my rating. Overall though, I was very happy with this costume. I will almost certainly end up wearing it again.
