It also makes it more period. For a slightly more"Naughty Noble"look it is possible to use the shirt without the lacing because the buttonholes don't stand out like silver or brass grommets. Our Nobles Shirts are made from a durable Pima cotton that looks very much like linen. These garments are all pre-shrunk and are colorfast. The cotton is much less wrinkle-prone than actual linen and is very soft against the skin.
