THE recently-knighted Sir David Murray has good reason to consider that his Medieval predecessors, charged with locating the Holy Grail, faced a mission that was only marginally more devilish than the search for the next manager of Rangers. For the first time in 500 years, England's Tower of London -- home to the crown jewels -- will have its first female Beefeater. She has served in the British military for more than 20 years. Now she'll don the ceremonial red and gold uniform, with its red stockings and ruffled white collar. It's believed the guards are named after the meat they were given as payment in Medieval times.
