Mystery over the way men's skulls changed shape in Medieval Europe deepens after discoveries at Yorkshire village. Same-sex civil unions, while seemingly new and radical, appear to have existed 600 years ago in late Medieval France, a professor writes in the September issue of the Journal of Modern History. A Polish count laid claim Wednesday to a medieval cross fished out of a trash container in Austria, saying it had been stolen from his family by the Nazis. Many consider Germany's Rothenburg to be the best-preserved medieval town in Europe. Many also consider it a horrible tourist trap. Everyone in the town makes their living off tourism. The place is stampeded midday with visiting tour groups. The town even created its own traditional pastry -- the schneeball (or snowball) to compliment all the faux traditional Christmas ornaments it sells. Yet ... A MEDIEVAL ship which could be worth millions of pounds to a city?s tourism industry may never go on public display, it has been claimed. Medieval life never looked so good in this upcoming game that combines city-building with strategy.
